A snippet…

For over 17 years, it’s been my honor to invest in coaching and facilitating high-level leaders, CEOs, and their teams to help them flourish. And I am exhilarated by this work to which I’ve been called!

 

Where I came from…

I grew up on a small hobby farm in Central California, with livestock and agricultural chores that helped me learn my family’s Midwestern work ethic. Our family frequented the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains, where I acquired a love for the outdoors.

 

My first forays into business included selling greeting cards, honey, and my lawn-mowing services to our neighbors in my early years. I first learned about leaders and teams pursuing more during my ten-year water polo career, where I was honored to play on two NCAA championship teams and the U.S. National Team. Inspired by my engineer grandfather, whom I looked up to, I graduated from college with degrees in computer science and history.

 

A while later…

Three decades and two career pivots later, I earned the Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation and others to hone my coaching craft, and a Master’s degree in Positive Psychology to inform how I serve those I coach. I’m also grateful to be mentored and coached by exceptional, high-character coaches and leaders who invest in my professional growth.

 

Before that…

The first nearly two decades of my career spanned multiple disciplines with a Fortune 150 tech company and entrepreneurial ventures, including software, retail, and business brokerage. I’ve had twenty-one direct reports across four time zones and seven airports, driving $350M in revenue with international OEMs and telecom customers. I also know what it’s like to share a small rented office above a coffee shop with a business partner strategizing how to win our first deal and scrubbing coffee stains out of the carpet the night before giving a software demo to a big-company VIP.

 

Most importantly…

These days, I love investing in leaders who value their own growth and building others up. It’s multiplying for good!

 

I am married to my college sweetheart, Julianne, and we have two wonderful adult children and an amazing son-in-law. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and skiing together and making memories as a family. I am pursuing Jesus imperfectly. And guacamole...but differently.

I hold a Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coaching Federation, a Certified Professional Leadership Coach credential from Professional Christian Coaching Institute, a Certified Practitioner in Team Coaching designation from Global Team Coaching Institute, a WiLD Leaders Trust Coach certification from WiLD Leaders, and a Conflict Dynamics Profile Certified Facilitator from Mediation Training Institute.
